CWRU Cutter wins first place in the 2009 Institute of Navigation's Autonomous Lawnmower Competition!

The autonomous lawnmower uses a combination of LIDAR (Light Detection And Ranging), GPS and cameras to navigate a small course which simulates a lawn. The mower is tasked with mowing the entire grass area in a logical pattern while avoiding both stationary and moving obstacles.
