Main  DIY Computer  Site Map  Email:  Webmaster Installing RAM To instally SDRAM DIMMs, first locate the SDRAM banks. They should be the longest black slots on the motherboard. Then unlock the tabs. The nearest one is unlocked, while the other two are still locked. Line up the DIMM with the bank, taking care to line up the notches with the corresponding features on the banks. Then push the DIMM straight down. This may take a significant amount of force. The tabs should pop back up when you do this.
